The Origin of TalyaGuard:

Every meaningful company begins with a question.

For TalyaGuard, that question was simple: In an age where nearly every part of life can be verified instantly, how can the health and safety of a professional fighter still depend on paper forms, phone calls, emails, and fragmented records?

I’ve been a ringside physician and involved with combat sports and sports medicine at the highest level for over 30 years. I’ve seen the chaos firsthand fighters showing up with incomplete medicals, promoters and managers scrambling at the last minute, and important information getting lost between states and commissions. It’s not rare. It’s normal, accepted and it puts everyone at risk!

TalyaGuard was built to change that. We didn’t set out to build just another database. We set out to build trust in the foundation of the sport.

The name TALYA comes from Atalanta the ancient Greek athlete whose name means “equal in weight.” She competed under the same rules as everyone else and won through skill, discipline, and honor. That idea of fairness and equal standards became the core principle behind everything we do.

A Guard protects. A Guard watches. A Guard verifies. TalyaGuard exists to protect the fighters with real-time verification, portable records, and a clear audit trail that everyone can rely on. This is the infrastructure combat sport has needed for a long time.

Protection means verifying physician credentials every 30 days through the federal NPI Registry and state medical licensing boards, ensuring every medical professional performing examination remains properly licensed and in good standing.

Protection means preserving every examination, neurological evaluation, imaging study, laboratory result, injury, clearance, suspension, and return-to-play decision inside one secure, lifelong medical archive.

Protection means giving every athlete the same opportunity to compete safely regardless of promoter, organization, or location. These principles are not marketing slogans. Long before computers existed, ledgers preserved accountability, ownership, commerce, and trust between people who they had never met.
